What is AmeriCorps?
AmeriCorps is a national service program where individuals commit to addressing real challenges in their communities — from education and health to disaster response and environmental projects. Think of it as the “domestic Peace Corps,” mobilizing thousands across the country to serve and make a lasting impact.

What is a Host Site?
A Host Site is a community organization, school, library, or agency that partners with CORE Susquehanna AmeriCorps to welcome a member into their team. As a Host Site, your organization gains a passionate, service-minded individual to help meet unmet needs, expand your programs, and create meaningful impact in your community.

What's Required of Host Sites?
Host Site Responsibilities Include:
✔ Designing an impactful, mission-aligned service role

✔ Helping to recruit and onboard your AmeriCorps Member
​
✔ Providing daily supervision, mentorship, and support
​​
✔ Offering workspace and necessary resources
​
✔ Tracking service activities and submitting reports
​
✔ Contributing a Cash Match and In-Kind Match determined by the service term you choose
